The Volvo Penta team is now looking for a Business Controller, Digital & IT who will build and proactively develop the cost control and financial reporting framework for Volvo Penta Digital & IT current, and future business.
Volvo Penta Digital & IT is creating and delivering digital experiences and digital services for all of Volvo Penta’s customers, but we also believe that improving our own digital efficiency and digital workplace will be of benefit to our customers. We work in a very close collaboration with all other departments of Volvo Penta as well as with Volvo Group Digital & IT.
Core Financial responsibilities
In this role you will report to the Head of Business and Portfolio Management in Digital & IT and be a member of the Volvo Penta Finance community.
You will own and run the process to gather input, consolidate, and build the total budget for Volvo Penta IT-budget. You will also own and run the process for regular estimates and forecasts, making sure the plans are in line with the strategic objectives of Volvo Penta. Supporting initiatives and projects within our Digital & IT department from a financial perspective, will also be a part of your responsibility.
Furthermore, the role also includes consolidating and communicating budget and forecast to stakeholders, actively participate in the Volvo Penta Finance Network, prepare financial reports for executive management meetings and provide knowledge and guidance to colleagues on cost management and reporting and SAP master finance system usage.
Development and Transformation responsibilities
Identify and drive improvements of our Digital & IT financial processes and tools in terms of efficiency, structure, automation, and usability
Contribute to the creation of value-driven ERP strategies to link overall business strategies and digitalization to improve business results
Participate in the implementation of a new Volvo Group financial system, with a focus on the Volvo Penta impact
Work with stakeholders within Volvo Penta and Volvo Group to identify cross-functional improvements and secure transparent flow of financial information
Support transformation towards new business models and increased collaboration with external partners
Engage in automation of business processes inside Volvo Penta using Robotic Process Automation
Competence required
We believe that you have many years of experience from working in a Business Controller or similar role. You have experience from implementation of financial systems and processes and from business controlling in an IT organization. You have a good business understanding and you have good user skills in tools and solutions such as SAP, BI platforms, Power BI and Excel. Finally, we would like you to have university degree in finance, or other relevant area.
It is an advantage if you have experience from the Volvo Group.
