Be part of the change
Volvo Cars and Geely are undertaking a significant industrial collaboration as they merge their combustion engine operations into a stand-alone business in order to establish a new global supplier that will seek to develop next-generation combustion engines and hybrid powertrains. As Business Controller you will play a great part to assure the financial setup towards accomplishing worldclass financial performance.


Let us describe the challenge we offer
This new stand-alone business will develop technologically advanced and efficient combustion engines and hybrid powertrains for Volvo Cars, Geely Auto, Proton, Lotus, LEVC and LYNK & CO. We will also supply third-party manufacturers, providing exciting growth opportunities. Hybrid cars need the best internal combustion engines. We will have the resources, scale and expertise to grow the business.
The new business, will be an employer for approximately 2,000 employees from Volvo Cars and around 9,000 employees from Geely’s combustion engine operations, including R&D, procurement, manufacturing, IT, HR, Strategy & planning and finance functions.
To meet the challenges in growing this new entity we are now looking for a Business Controller who will, together with the entity management, lead the future development.


What you´ll do and which competences we regards as important
We are now seeking a curious, communicative and quality driven person to join our financial team as being the key player in the development of the finance functions. You have experience in driving change and be active in identifying risks & opportunities and securing financial performance.

In your role you’ll work closely together with business development team and quality team, developing and analyzing business models/cases, driving the setup of the Quality & Warranty process and system. The aim is to be their go-to person for finance matters and to challenge towards fulfilment of financial targets by exploiting business opportunities while driving efficiency and reducing risks. For you it is natural to be involved in developing effective targets and relevant KPI´s for follow-ups. Systems you feel comfortable in would preferable be SAP, QlikView and of course deep knowledge in Excel modeling.  Experiences from warranty processes and systems are meritorious. You will be based in Gothenburg.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you have relatively long experience in finance, business development/modeling and quality management. You communicate financial information in a clear way. Of course you have a passion for figures and fact-based analysis. Additionally, we believe that you aim to build trust, collaborate and balance stakeholders. Strategic mindset and operational drives suit us fine.
