As Business Controller of Financial Planning, you will have the global responsibility to support the R&D management team with financial planning activities and the development of R&D’s financial steering model together with the controlling community at R&D. We are looking for a controller who, together with other colleagues within our function, can lead and drive this work forward.
The role:
The role will give you a good understanding of R&D’s business and its opportunities and challenges here and now and in the years to come. You will be joining the central R&D Controlling team in Södertälje and report directly to R&D’s Finance manager. In the position you will work closely with several functions within R&D, ranging from representatives from all levels of the line organization to product planning, project controlling and functional R&D controlling. The end customers of your deliveries are Traton Industrial Operations, Corporate control, Traton Global Product Management and Controlling.
Your responsibilities:
• Responsible for developing and maintaining an efficient and relevant financial steering model for R&D. The business is constantly developing and the steering model must support and guide the same while ensuring that various stakeholders' needs are met.
• Owner of R&D’s financial yearly and long-term planning process.
• Lead and drive the progress of the processes, from planning, providing prerequisites, monitoring and supporting all involved parties, to completing the reporting to the customers of the processes.
• Controlling and analysis of the content of the financial plans to create transparency, including trend and deviation analysis.
• Present the plans on a regular basis during the process to its various stakeholders, which most often is R&D management team as well as Traton.
• Develop and set requirements on the IT tools necessary to support the financial steering model and financial planning processes. Efficient system support is crucial for obtaining relevant data.
Your skills:
In order to be successful in this role, you show an ability to see the bigger picture and consider larger perspectives, while also understanding and adhering to business-like principles. We see that you are structured and organized, and prioritize your workload in an efficient way. You are also taking initiative and achieving results. You are also good with complex issues, as well as analysing and breaking down problems into smaller components. To succeed in this role, you are a relationship builder and a communicative person. Furthermore, you also have:
• A degree in Business Administration or Industrial Engineering
• Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in business controlling or a similar finance role
• Very good knowledge of IT and digitalization
• High proficiency in written and spoken English as well as Swedish
