Are you a business driven and self-motivated person with a strong sense for numbers and business logic? Are you ready to play a significant role in shaping the direction of this fast-growing venture? Then this is an exciting opportunity for you to work as Business Controller for Destiny, soon the market leader in the Telecom area in Europe. Report to Head of Business Control for the Group who is based in Stockholm, while on a daily basis working closely with the management team.
Main Responsibilities:
Assist in integrating and supporting recent acquisitions of the Group and in developing our internal technology platforms, thereby assisting the entire Destiny Group in its ambitions to become a leading cloud communications provider in Europe (Press article on recent technology acquisition).
Analyze operational performance, such as analysis of billing data: Make transparent what drives current financial performance of the organization and verify/validate (financial) information retrieved from reporting systems.
Predict the future (short term): Develop forecasting & reporting frameworks to predict future financial performance based on internal and external business drivers & KPIs. Provide options to the business to redirect when needed.
Co-steer the business: Assess overall performance, identify business drivers, benchmark business processes against relevant KPIs and promote business process optimization. Identify improvement opportunities to maximize shareholder value.
Support strategy design: Support the business with defining the long term strategy and to translate this into a long term financial plan.
Provide support during business-critical events: Provide financial advice to the business during business critical events (CAPEX decisions, M&A transactions, etc.).
Basic capabilites to succeed in the role:
We think you have a Masters degree in economic sciences/commercial engineering or similar finance/accounting focused degrees.
You have 5-7 years of relevant experience, preferably within Big 4 and business controlling in a dynamic software/scale-up environment.
You have a strong understanding of performance measurements to measure success of strategic and operating initiatives and are an advanced user of Excel.
Experience in PowerBI and related data-driven tools is of high value.
Fluent in English speech and writing.
If you have knowledge of French & Dutch, since you will be working towards France, The Netherlands and Belgium we will be impressed.
You have experience from global/international financial perspective which contributes to critical thinking, strategic agility and analytical thinking and presentation of data and guidance.
You take ownership over your main responsibilities and are able to handle change and conflict management.
The position is based in our Stockholm office in attractive facilities in Hammarby Sjöstad (Stockholm, Sweden) with occasional travel to our office in Brussels.
