In this role you will have 1 direct report who you will manage and work closely with. You will gain a large network in Nespresso locally in the Nordics and internationally.
A snapshot of what you’ll be doing
Our Business Controller acts as a co-pilot for our two Commercial Managers B2C and B2B. Your role therefore will be to ensure that the committed revenue and margin contribution is delivered within these designated areas. Together with our Commercial Managers you are responsible for driving business development and decision making in the market, build business plans, identify gaps and opportunities, consolidate sales activities within the commercial channels and integrating them in the budgeting and forecasting process. In short you drive the financial performance of your area.
Your responsibilities will further include:
Co-Pilot financial performance and achievement of targets in close collaboration with the Commercial B2B and B2C Managers
Participate actively in the strategy development and provide associated scenario planning to optimise business value
Review monthly performance and identify areas of risk to achieve targets, and develop and follow up action plans
Monitor evolution of sales MOGE's and advise sales organisation on annual resource planning and variance tracking.
Be the ambassador (co-pilot) between the finance community and sales teams to ensure transparency, alignment and proactive collaboration.
Drive a strong culture of achieving financial targets throughout your areas
Ensure that internal & external financial standards and compliance rules are met
Ensure effective goal setting, meaningful development plans for direct report - providing coaching and regular feedback.
Your professional skills
You have held several roles within Finance & Control of which several years in controlling. You have preferably worked in an international FMCG or D2C Sales environment with demonstrated successful performance to date. Furthermore, you are/possess:
High attention to details, accuracy, and respect of deadlines
Very good understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis
Strong communication skills - you can communicate effectively across all areas of the business
Excellent organisational and planning skills – ability to work independently and prioritise workload
In addition, we expect that you hold a University degree in Economics, Accounting, or Finance and have strong CRM and ERP system understanding.
Your personal skills
In order to be successful in this role we believe it is important that you enjoy and are able to work both strategically and operationally. You have a strong drive and are interested and involved in the business. You like to work independently but remain close to your stakeholders, taking a consultative approach. We believe you have strong influencing skills and can drive the finance agenda forward across multiple stakeholders, all with various interests. We expect that you can inspire, engage, educate, train, support, and coach other people.
