Arbetsbeskrivning
To Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology and division Rock Tools, we’re now looking for a business-minded and structured Business Controller. This is the perfect position if you want to mix business control with project management and also to influence our operations through numbers and figures.
Rock Tools provides cutting edge solutions for our mining and construction customers, and within our finance team, we support the division to keep doing so by offering efficient, reliable and proactive financial analysis to our key stakeholders.
About the job
In this position, you’re part of our strong financial network – spanning across the division, through the business area and all the way to our group functions. You lead the process of inventory and net working capital reporting and forecasting for our sales area and production unit teams, and you support our Global Operations organization in creating both transparency and understanding of inventory movements in production and distribution. You create forecasts, analyze incoming figures and follow up on numbers, and then present your findings to provide action recommendations and support decision-making.
Collaboration and cohesiveness are keys, and you actively work within our finance communities to keep in line with frameworks, as well as to identify and share best practices. You also look at market development, including automation and technical improvements of financial processes, to make sure we stay on top of our game and continue to be a reliable business partner for Rock Tools.
Your location is either Västberga or Sandviken - although you need to spend equal amount of time at both locations. Some planned travel to our sales areas and production units can also occur.
About you
We’re looking for a finance professional with at least five years’ experience from business control and from working with our Rock Tools sales areas, while previously working with project management is a strong benefit. We also believe that you have a relevant degree in Finance or Business Administration. You’re a skilled user of Office 365 – especially Excel – and in other software used in this line of work, such as BPC and Aurora. As we’re a global business, you need to be fluent in both written and verbal English.
Being an analytical, quality conscious and reliable financial partner, you easily know how to explain the meaning of numbers and figures and turn them into strategic business advantages. You’re also service driven and ambitious, working proactively with a sense of urgency when the situation calls for it. On top of this, you’re the number one collaborator and an inspirational team player – someone who is comfortable in challenging us and making things happen.
At Sandvik, we believe that diversity of experience, perspective and background leads to a better environment for our employees, our business and our customers. We’re looking forward to meeting you!
