Arbetsbeskrivning
Within Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions and division Rock Tools, we deliver advanced products and solutions for the mining and construction industries, and we serve customers across all continents. In line with our visions, culture and values, our ambition is to drive important shifts and advance the world through engineering, and we aim for nothing but world-class in all our operations.
We’re now looking for a Business Controller to join our management team at the Rock Tools production unit in Sandviken – a place where collaboration, innovation and agility are keys, and where we constantly challenge the status quo to keep our industry leading position.
We think that you’ll be motivated to join us if you:
Are skilled in connecting numbers to reality and reality to numbers, and want to drive actual business value
Take lead in development, explore alternatives and always aim to raise the bar two steps higher
Believe that knowledge is for sharing and that change is a positive enabler
About the job
As a Business Controller closely connected to our factory environment, one of your main objectives are to create solid awareness on how our production unit numbers tie into the total Rock Tools results from a global perspective. Naturally, you proactively manage the tasks performed within a regular business control position – such as budgets compared to actuals, forecasts, reports, controls and audits – and you take all figures into account as you look at early indicators, communicate deviations, resolve issues and recommend reliable actions.
You’re also a key player when it comes to understanding our business drivers and establishing clear business control processes. By working closely with our managers, you transfer your financial knowledge and promote an ownership of both numbers and performance. You also help prioritize our resources in the most valuable and optimized way to increase both efficiency and profitability. As part of our production unit management team, you constantly look for improvements and standardized ways of working, and you actively search for development and adaption of our financial tools. On top of this, you drive cost reduction and enhancement projects, support decision-making and give your input in validating the needs for future investment.
About you
We’re looking for an analytical, straightforward and motivated controller with a degree in Business or Economics. You have broad experience from business control and working with budgets, forecasts and results - preferably connected to a factory environment as this enables you to understand our challenges and performance drivers. You also bring advanced skills in modern Excel, and we consider experience from SAP and Power BI as a plus. We’re a global business, and you need to communicate and present information fluently in English.
Although forecasting is very important, you always stay connected to our everyday work and you know what’s going on around you. By mixing a strategic and commercial mind and by considering both details and the full picture, you challenge our financial flows and ways of working. You’re an easy-to-access collaborator, guided by high integrity and a genuine desire to create team spirit and help us grow. You also bring attention and energy, and you’re committed, clear and resourceful as you push for an outstanding business control function.
About us
We’re tech driven, innovative and entrepreneurial, and we believe that success is a team effort so we value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive culture where people can be themselves and reach their full potential. We also give you the freedom to find that perfect mix between work, family life and interests. Visit our website, LinkedIn or Facebook to get to know us further.
