Business Controller to international Company

Do you want work for a company who strives to promote a healthy planet for future generations? We are now looking for a Business Controller who will strengthen our client´s Finance department.

Our client is an international company with office in Gothenburg as well as several other places around the world. This is a consultant agreement via Wise Professionals /Eqonomy with an extent of 6 months and with good possibilities of extention or employment directly at our client.

Main responsibilities

As a Business Controller you work closely with many parts of the organization. You will support and follow up on project profitability in our different business lines. You stay up to date to ensure that all parameters of the projects are going according to plan, such as costs, margins and cashflow. An important element is also to perform risk assessments in the projects and assist with contractual issues. Furthermore, you will assist in the work of further standardizing and improving our financial processes.

Important tasks within your responsibility will be to:

·       Ensure continuous follow up on budgets and overall status of the projects

·       Analyze budget deviations and report to key stakeholders such as Business Line Managers, Project Managers and Finance Manager

·       Support the organization in developing an overview of project budgets and prognosis, and other project finance related activities

·       Ensure timely and exact project invoicing and collection in cooperation with the Project Managers and the Finance Department

·       Assist in mapping processes and controls in ERP system in order to achieve good financial transparency

Background and skills

We believe that you have a university degree in Finance/Economics and previous experience as a Project/Business Controller or similar role with focus on giving the organization best possible support within the area. You find that close collaboration with stakeholders/departments is essential to enable the best possible outcome. To summarize you have:

·       Minimum 2 years’ work experience as Project/Business Controller or similar

·       Excellent knowledge of Excel

·       Experience from working with projects is meritorious

·       Knowledge of accounting principles is an advantage

·       Fluent in English, both spoken and written

Personal qualities

As a person you are structured and thorough with attention to detail while having the ability to see the bigger picture. You are proactive, solution-oriented and have an analytic mindset which you use to achieve results and make improvements. It is also important that you have the ability of running several projects in parallel.

Perhaps most importantly, you have a supportive mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills. You place high value in good relationships and are not afraid to make contact and expand your network in order to achieve results. Furthermore, you have a strong financial understanding and interest to learn about the business and industry.
