Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
The objective for the Finance and Business Control function, KC, is to support and enable profitable and cost-efficient business activities that deliver customer value within Sales and Marketing (S&M). The department is responsible for navigating through performance and follow-up S&M's global activities/business areas in order to support operations to initiate corrective actions. The function carries out several activities including business controlling, analysis, and reporting as well as inventory records.
As our current Business Controller is leaving for other challenges we are now looking for an ambitious person to join our team and support Service portfolio and delivery (KY) and Pre sales and Sales readiness (KJ) organization. We are looking for a person with an interest in translating business figures, financial and non-financial, to activities for profitability improvements and better business decisions.
As a Business Controller, you will have an important role to drive change and business navigation within our organization. You will be a part of both organizations' management teams, supporting, training, and challenging them in performance management.
Main responsibilities
• Enabling business owners to understand how decided activities affect profitability, including project controlling for the organizations
• Carry out the outcome of the performance
• Deliveries to KY&KJ management/organization, KC, and corporate control.
• Responsible for reporting and analyses within book closing, forecasts, and plannungsrunde for the organizations
• Continuously establish and implement The Scania way principles in our way of working, together with the rest of the team
You will report to Head of Business Control Parts & Services and will be part of a team with four business controllers located in Södertälje and cooperate with colleagues in Scania Latin America.
Who are you?
We are looking for a person with a financial background and the ability to support and influence an organization towards sustainable results. As a person, you are thorough, organized, and have the readiness to challenge the current situation or process step by step. You have the capability to convert needs into goals and deliveries for both yourself and surrounding interfaces. We believe that you are business-minded, see the main results and convert that into pedagogic communication material. In order to reach out and have an impact, you have good communication skills.
Most probably you have an MSc in Industrial engineering and/or MSc in Economics and Business Administration with some work experience from business process analysis and improvement. You are fluent in English, both spoken and written.
