Smurfit Kappa Gävle plant has a total of 100 employees and is currently looking for a Business Controller. The position is located at the site in Gävle. This is a broad role, working closely with the Plant Manager as being a part of the management team.

Smurfit Kappa is hiring a Business Controller in Gävle

As a Business Controller you will be involved in a wide range of tasks and you will have the possibility to grow in many different areas and competences within finance and operations.

Continuously you will have contact with 20 other BC’s within the organisation all over Sweden.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Preparation and analysis of midmonth forecasts, quarterly forecasts, and budget process
• Preparation and analysis of monthly closings
• Responsible for weekly profit forecasts
• Provide analysis and reports to the management team
• Focus upon continuous improvement over the quality and availability to financial information to the organisation
• KPI
• SOX-compliance, develop knowledge of key financial controls. Perform Financial Monitoring audits as required, under the guidance of the SOX controller
• Other ad hoc duties as required by the organisation
Required skills:

• You have a substantial background and understanding within controlling, minimum 3 years of experience
• University degree within economics and/or accounting
• Experience within an analytical role in a large corporate business, preferably from manufacturing company
• Experience of SAP is a merit
• As Smurfit Kappa’s is a global company there is a must being fluent in English, both written and orally
