The Store Portfolio team forms a key part of the Controlling function within Group Expansion. The team is responsible for strategic and financial controlling support to Group Expansion, with a focus on developing and maintaining a healthy store portfolio, and securing Group Expansion’s short-, medium-, and long-term goals. The team’s responsibilities are, among other topics, Strategic steering of Investment Frames, Project steering and financial follow up, Business Case creation and validation, Portfolio Strategy & Management, Budgeting & Forecasting, and Trend analysis. We support all parts of Group Expansion, with extra focus on being a close strategic partner to Group Leasing and regional expansion teams.
Job Description
We are now looking for a Business Controller to join the team. As Business Controller in the Store Portfolio team you are a key person in driving the H&M Group’s Portfolio Management forward, responding to changes in customer behaviour and OMNI developments. You will perform strategic analysis and follow up of expansion related activities and projects, both global and in our markets. By working closely with the Head of Controlling for your department, the business controller is a key role for driving improvements and actions in processes, ways of working, and tools, to enable meaningful growth and long-term profitability.
Your responsibilities
Support with analysis and guidance for strategic decisions, change management initiatives, and operational matters.
Proactively analyse and evaluate department and function performance versus set short- and long-term goals
Prepare and communicate monthly and quarterly reporting packages to senior management at Expansion, Brands, and Group.
Create business cases, validate and enhance business ideas
Review market and industry trends to steer departments future focuses
Be a strong and close support to our regional and market teams
Qualifications
To be successful in this role we see that you have:
Degree in Business Administration and/or Engineering
At least 3 years of relevant working experience within retail
Has experience in project and financial follow up, and a sound understanding of financial KPIs
Has strong Microsoft Excel skills and is highly experienced in working with data cubes, pivot tables and power queries.
Has proven strong communication and teamwork abilities, and able to manage multiple contact points, stakeholders, and projects.
Can understand, read, speak and write in English at a fluent level
We see that you are a result driven person with strong analytical skills and the ability to structure data. You are good in communicating and presenting information, in order to transfer knowledge and insights to the regional team and the sales market teams.
You work strategically and always have a multi-brand and multi-channel perspective. You effectively collaborate with groups of diverse people and you communicate in an inspiring way to motivate colleagues and teams.

This is a full-time assignment based in Stockholm ,Sweden.
