Business Controller to the Stockholm International Water Institute, SIWI

The Stockholm International Water Institute, SIWI is looking for a Business Controller to join their financial team. You will be a part of a finance team consisting of seven colleagues and will be reporting directly to the CFO. SIWI:s office is located at Östermalm, Stockholm.

Your main responsibilities as Business Controller would be to:

- Support in leading the forecast and budget process, overall cost allocations and financial results. Working closely with all parts of the organisation.
- Find the right sets of data, developing KPI structure, compile it in a flexible and user-friendly way and to perform analysis.
- Secure that correct financial information is available when needed.
- Co-ordinate the performance and financial updates sent out to the organization.
- Be ambassador for standard business solutions and common tools.
- Secure that analytical tools are available for producing reports and analysis.
- Be the master of performance management and develop our Power BI to state of the art reporting tool.


Experience:

- To be successful in this role, you need to have a minimum of 5 years of previous experience working with Performance management, Business Controlling, Business or Financial Analysis.
- You have an academic degree within the area of Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a similar area.
- You have strong analytical skills, have a good understanding of quantitative calculation methods and how to practically perform analysis. Excel is your best friend!
- Your strong communication skills enable you to engage people, both inside and outside the function, by creating a passion for objectives, plans and processes.
- When facing challenges, you take them on with a positive and solution-oriented approach. You have the ability to see the big picture and able to identify the details crucial for the big picture.
- As a person you are curious and strive to continuously develop yourself and the processes you work with. You get energy from working both together with other people and from working independently.
- You have a proactive approach and are comfortable making conclusions independently.
- You are good at asking the right questions and dare to challenge others. Since SIWI is a truly global environment, with colleagues from all over the world, you need to be fluent in English.
- Experience from other similar organizations is a plus but not a necessity.
- Deep knowledge within Power BI and data.
