About SOIC

SOIC Trade & Logistics is a wholly owned subsidiary within the Greencarrier Group; a private family-owned company with 40+ years of history specializing in logistics solutions. In 2021, Greencarrier acquired the Swedish East India Company (SOIC) including the world´s largest wooden sailing ship Götheborg. The Global Trading business is separated from the ship as we offer import and export solutions of goods within the forest industry. These goods include paper, packaging, paper pulp and recycled materials, all which are globally traded. The company was established in late 2021, and now we have built the platform from where we will grow and expand into an important global partner for our suppliers and customers. The role

As Business Coordinator, you are part of a great team with colleagues from different countries including Singapore, Colombia, and Sweden. We feel it is important to provide our employees with the flexibility to structure and plan their own work week and tasks. Focus is on getting the job done as you will be responsible for the order-to-delivery life cycle. The role is broad; hence it is important to be able to prioritize and learn “on-the-fly”. Our business partners operate globally meaning our corporate language is English and it is important that you can express yourself fluently, both verbally and written. We apply flexible working hours, and you will also be able to partly work remotely. This flexibility does come with a demand for availability and will also sometimes require work outside of “normal” Swedish business hours due to different time zones.

Example of tasks:

Establish agreements, contracts, and documents in our order processing system; Cietrade
Receive orders from the sales managers, customers, and suppliers
Manage the Supply Chain: Booking transports, generate shipping documents and track shipments
Create invoices and monitor payment from customers
Handle instruments of payment, for instance Letter of Credits
Customer and supplier contact and care via e-mail and telephone
Manage and solve problems, or even better- proactively avoiding them


Your background

To be successful in this role we believe you have a few years of documented work experience from a similar role, preferably with a background in export, trade, or logistics. To thrive with us, we believe that you are self-motivated and have a proactive approach in preventing and solving problems. You are thorough with a keen eye for details, while at the same time understand general business operations and concepts. You are motivated by challenges and deliver on time with exceptional level of quality and service. It would be a major advantage if you speak another language such as Spanish or French. You should have a good understanding of various business systems and we believe you have worked with Incoterms and different payment instruments for international trade. As the role is quite broad, we expect you to be comfortable making the correct prioritizations and learn as you go.
