The goal of Free Range is to serve more countries by creating a good market specific range and thereby strengthen and complement the total offer. Free Range will also constantly challenge work processes in order to increase speed, flexibility and the final end result. Free Range has been a strong contributor to growing IKEA by delivering one of the highest growth rates in sales over the last few years! We have high ambitions to continue to support and grow IKEA and are just at the beginning. In order to continue to perform and grow at a high level, we need competent co-workers to join us. Free Range works in a de-centralised structure and we have people working for Free Range all over the world.

The assignment
The Free Range Business Creator leads the process of creating the offer for all 3 business channels - local range - webshop and activities. Using requests and input from Retail, Business Areas/Home Furnishings Businesses (HFB), material/category areas and market trends the Business Creator supports the Retailer in securing a locally relevant offer and contributing proven business possibilities to the Global IKEA business. The Business Creator has the ability to align short term business needs/opportunities and align them with the long term IKEA priorities. The Business Creator reports to the Free Range Manager and works in matrix with Local range responsible in the retail countries, Sales Leaders, Commercial Activity Leaders, Traders, and Business Areas/HFB and Regional Supply teams. The Business Creators work with all parts of the Free Range network to secure the business direction for each business channel and the successful operational execution.

Is this the right challenge for you?

To be able to succeed in this position it is considered an advantage if you have a clear understanding of IKEA short and long term business directions and a strong understanding of the IKEA Range (current and future). You also need experience from working in a retail organisation. We are looking for a curious person with a passion for doing business. You are known to make things happen and sees possibilities in the ?impossible?. You are energetic and result oriented, you have the ability to evaluate and assess requests and input from a business perspective is another important trait, as well as your genuine interest in customer shopping behaviour in order to identify business potentials. It?s crucial that you have the ability to work across all functions in all parts of the pipeline and also that you are able to establish working relationships at all levels within IKEA.
