IKEA Food develops and provides the food sold and served in all IKEA Restaurants, Bistro´s, Swedish Food Markets and the IKEA co-worker restaurants. IKEA Food has 389 restaurants in 49 markets and every year 650 million guests are enjoying the IKEA Food.
Category Area Food is one of the most recently established category areas in Purchasing Development, being in a build-up journey to take over purchasing of Food from the retail organisation. The objective is to optimise the business model for best quality, low price and availability. The build-up entail a combination of establishing new capabilities along with driving efficiency for a strong business performance with fact based analysis and planning as a foundation.
We are now looking for a new Business Developer to join our exciting journey in Category Area Food!

IKEA Food develops and provides the food sold and served in all IKEA Restaurants, Bistros, Swedish Food Markets and the IKEA co-worker restaurants. IKEA food is growing business and you will be part of establishing & optimizing an excellent IKEA Food supply chain.
About the assignment
In this role, you will be overall responsible for supplier performance (Price development, quality, logistics, sustainability, and product development).
• You work closely with your business team member and lead cost out agenda through optimizing value chain.
• You create common action Plan(s) with supplier to improve and develop business and supplier performance. You use the Supplier Development Process to develop your supplier.
• You are accountable for professional and long-term relationship with suppliers through IKEA way of doing business, based on a shared business model, trust and transparency
• You need to Secure supplier compliance according to IKEA purchasing manual.
• You Lead and/or contribute news development and improvement project for your responsible supplier.
• At any time, act as an ambassador of IKEA Values and Culture
• This role requires some travel.
Qualifications
We believe that you are a person with lots of energy, drive and dynamics, you have enthusiasm for business and people and an entrepreneurship thinking. You want to drive the business further and have an end-to-end ownership for supply. You have a good structure of way of working, you are agile and can adapt to the changing environment. You are a true team player and can work in high paced environment. We expect you to have strong leadership and approved record of leading supplier development agenda. Your deep knowledge of the processes within the purchasing area of the Food business in terms of supplier and market capabilities will be definitely a plus.
