Your mission
In this role, you primarily work to identify and promote new business opportunities and secure key enablers to grow our digital business linked to our two main software and digital hardware product areas – Knowledge based Planning, and Data driven Machining.
This means lots of freedom to impact and innovate, but also a big responsibility to make things happen.

The innovation team work truly cross-functional, focusing on sales channels, partnerships and coordinates commercial enablers for the product offering. We contribute to Sandvik's corporate goals by unraveling obstacles and ensuring the implementation and performance of priority areas to enable successful sales of our digital solutions. You're responsible for business development activities which involves developing channels, such as e-commerce, and your role includes securing that the end-to-end processes work well and develop according to business requirements.
You proactively work to identify and review the development of other business opportunities, taking responsibility for business development activities and performing projects of complex scope. In addition, you’re also involved and may drive activities in the sales process development, business model implementation, partner channel development, and pre/post-sales activities. You take advantage of your independent judgment within general practices and policies when selecting methods and techniques for creating solutions that benefit us in the long run.
You’re advanced in economic modeling and discounted cash flow analysis, where you demonstrate in-depth technical knowledge on all aspects of finance. In addition, you´re experienced in measure business cases and, you have a thorough understanding of complex business models.
We offer you the flexibility to choose your own working location within a time zone corresponding to Sweden, although some physical presence at our offices in Sandviken or Stockholm, Sweden will be required. Occasional travel is included in the role.
Your profile
You have a solid background within sales, preferably with a connection to software, process development, and e-commerce, or a similar relevant field. Beneficially, you have experience within an industry with similar challenges as we have, where you've been working proactively to detect challenges in everything from the software field to production. A relevant degree preferably in industrial economics or business is preferred, and you’re also well versed in Office 365 and possess the general digital skills necessary to succeed. As we act in a global setting, you communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, while Swedish and other languages will come in handy in your job.
Although your hard skills are essential, your personality and attitude are vital in this role. As you already might have suspected, a good business acumen, an entrepreneurial spirit are essential to thrive, and a strong drive to build, grow, and develop. You’re a natural leader who can influence without having a formal mandate and has a strategic mindset. You’re clear about what’s ahead, what needs to be done and adapts quickly to new environments and tasks. As you’re an excellent relationship-builder and a good communicator, you prioritize which partners we need to approach to reach our goals and you easily connect to gain trust from partners, customers, and internal stakeholders.
