The Purchasing division is one of Scania's main organizations with a place in the Scania Executive board. By supporting and influencing about 70% of Scania's sales in the form of purchased materials and services, purchasing plays a very important role in Scania's results. Scania purchasing is defined by the high-performance business spirit and is a perfect place for those who like technology, economy and leadership.

Scania Purchasing has around 700 employees around the world and our global purchasing organisation is based in Södertälje, where we are located in a newly renovated activity based office, close to the train station. Business Development (BD) at Purchasing is growing and we are now looking for an additional team member who will strengthen our overall competence level and can help us to fulfil our mission.

In our Purchasing Business Development team we have the mission to challenge and develop Scania Purchasing. We want to allow all employees to reach their full potential by providing excellent ways of working together with our knowledge and support. We do this by improving and creating new processes, systems, tools and methods with the target to increase efficiency and ensure that purchasing is adapting to the changing future market demands.

We are looking for an eager personality

The ability to create and build trust among our internal customers are crucial. You will be part of or lead projects/assignments that implements new processes, systems, methods and ways of working. And since Business Development within Purchasing drives the digitalization journey, the ability and interest of close cooperation with IT is of big importance. You also possess abilities such as quick learning, logical thinking and good holistic ability/system understanding. Presenting projects to larger audiences and management teams is not a problem.

It is an advantage if you have:


• At least a three year relevant academic degree
• Experience from Business Development, Project management or equivalent within a larger organisation
• IT/System- interest/knowledge/background


English is our corporate language so you need to be fluent both in written and in speech, Swedish is an advantage!

Your attitude, the desire to learn and the ability to understand unknown needs is everything!
