The department Projects, Strategy and Regions supports Purchasing globally in multiple areas, including business development. We are currently looking for a business developer with focus on sustainability.
In this job you’ll get the possibility to work with something close to your heart and at the same time help Scania on its way of becoming leader in sustainable transport by minimizing risk and incresing sustainability performance in our supply chain.
Job description
Together with the rest of the team you will be responsible for challenging and developing how we work to integrate sustainability as a natural part in our purchasing operation. You will develop the tools, methods and processes needed, drive the implementations and continuously support the organisation. Educating others through dialogue, lectures and trainings is a large part of the job.
You will engage with suppliers by conducting sustainability audits and provide support in the follow-up. You will work closely with purchasing colleagues globally within the Volkswagen group and you will have frequent interactions with sustainability experts from other brands.
Your profile
You have a strong business development interest and are passionate about sustainability. You have extensive experience from a supply chain sustainability context as a business developer or purchaser, either at Scania or elsewhere.
We are looking for candidates who are professional, creative, flexible and customer-focused. You will be developing and driving the sustainability agenda in multiple interfaces, so good communication and cooperation skills are important. As you will share many of your tasks with colleagues in the group, you are a strong team player.
Since the sustainability work is in constant development, you have the ability to drive towards defined goals, create the structures needed and adapt to changing conditions.
The role involves a large international network and some travel, so you will need to be proficient in both written and spoken English.
