Who are we?

The Business Development function at Scania Buses & Coaches is responsible for ensuring that we actively challenge our business strategy through exploring new business models and continuously developing our business processes. In doing so we establish Scania Bus & Coach as the leader in sustainable transport and a provider of world class solutions to all our customers. We are committed to building a strong and diverse team in order to draw on complementary skills and experiences to solve our business challenges together. As a part of this team your responsibility will be to drive change in strategically important areas by being part of and/or leading initiatives that helps the Bus & Coach business area to reach our goals and remain successful over time and through disruption.  Our work can be divided in to the following three categories:


• strategy development (strategy processes, long-term strategy)
• business development (new business models, business intelligence, future ecosystems)
• process development

 Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a person with strategy and business development experience but most of all with the eagerness to learn more about customer operations and the people transport ecosystem. You know what it takes for a team to succeed and you have a track record of motivating and leading colleagues to great results.

You know that successful business development is about understanding our customer’s reality, consolidating input from a vast number of  sources, assessing and balancing customer value and Scania profitability, and manage a large number of stake holders.

To be successful in this role you need to be analytical, responsive, a skilled communicator, and you should have the ability to build and manage relationships. 

Overall, you are a down to earth and hands on kind of person. You are service as well as business-minded, and you take action. You are comfortable with English in speech and writing, and additional languages spoken are considered a merit.

Most likely you have a university degree in business, economics, or engineering and prior experience from commercial and business development assignments is considered a merit. However, we appreciate that the road to success comes in many different versions and constantly strive to create and maintain a diverse team
