Business Development Assistant
A business development assistant at GPC is responsible for assisting the current global business development manager with the related activities. The role involves active coordination across teams and demands exceptional inter-personal and technical skills. The executive is expected to work on helping to manage existing business and marketing efforts to increase brand awareness and overall business growth.
Key responsibilities include:
Business Development tasks:
· Contract management for collaborations and maintaining timelines for key collaborative activities. These would be ongoing projects with one of the maximum engagements wherein the executive can delve deep into the stakeholder management activities with key strategic competency building plans globally.
· Support in writing new business quotes and proposals.
· Maintain knowledge of all product and service offerings of the company.
· Follow company guidelines and procedures for acquisition of customers, submission of proposal/tenders etc.
· Keep prospective client database updated using CRM like HubSpot.
· Arrange meetings for senior management with prospective clients.
· Preparing PowerPoint presentations and sales displays
· Assist business development team on various activities.
Competencies and Skills Required
· Must be a self-starter with an independent problem identification and solution-oriented work approach.
· Must be able to read, comprehend and analyse business contracts, B2B and B2C including governmental and non-governmental stakeholders (associations, institutions etc.).
· Must be able to create excellent quality content for sales and business development.
· Excellent written and verbal communication plus interpersonal skills.
· Must possess strong customer service skills
· Must be detail oriented and an active listener
· Ability to work under pressure yet in a relaxed non-hierarchical start-up environment.
· Software skills related to general IT, previous experience with marketing and sales Softwares is highly advantageous but if not then a zeal to quick learning, implementation and excel will help.
· 0-2 years experience is required.
The position will start with a probation/trail period of 3 months with a possibility of continuation full time on long term basis.
