Business Development Director

Job Description: You will participate in formulating and implementing Orexo's business development strategy. You will report to the Vice President of Business Development. You will play a key leadership role in identifying and evaluating strategic opportunities regarding companies, technologies, and products and liaise with the Legal, Finance and Marketing departments to provide business leadership regarding all in- and out-licensing transactions. Personal characteristics: You are a self-starter, outgoing, and motivated. You are results-driven and can work independently while effectively interacting with subordinates, immediate colleagues and partner companies. You possess an entrepreneurial spirit and above average analytical, organizational and negotiation skills. Energetic, social and creative are also adjectives that describe you. Requirements: Pharm D, MD, PhD or a degree from a top business school. 5+ years of experience in biotechnology/pharmaceutical business development or equivalent. Experience in acquisition, in- and out-licensing, preferably having participated in at least one significant product in-licensing or out-licensing transaction within the last three years. Proven superior presentation and communication skills. Advanced knowledge of medical, pharmaceutical development, scientific principles and concepts.
