The business unit Process Level is now looking for a Business Development Manager to join a creative and highly motivated team. As a Business Development Manager, you will act as a liaison between the product company and the global Emerson sales channels. You are expected to raising awareness and gaining mindshare for the Process Level product portfolio and you are a subject matter expert assisting customers and sales to select the right level technology and provide application insights.
The position has a high business focus which requires both a strategic mindset, as well as a high drive for results. You must be able to understand and analyze the business environment, finding white spaces, set the objectives and strategies for how to reach success, but also have an ability to adjust to rapidly changing priorities when needed.
The position requires travel where you will educate the sales team on the product portfolio, plan the sales tactics and direct actions to ensure strategic goals are met.
You will be working closely with several business functions such as: sales, project pursuit, industry experts, product managers, integrated marketing as well as end-users to define and deploy our solutions offering for the designated industries.

As a Business Development Manager you will:
· Work closely with regional sales and product managers in your designated world area, but also support other markets when needed.
· Drive, support and follow up on the Process Level Business in the world area
· Strategically early involvement in Key Accounts and Engineering Contractors
· Travel to the world area, perform presentations and visit customers together with the regional sales channel.
· Be present at exhibitions and other product marketing events
· Provide guidance in commercial matters, design selection and technical queries.
· Assure the sales channel is trained on the product portfolio and solutions including how-to-sell-tactics. Facilitate and conduct trainings.
· Act as the main Business Unit contact for the designated world area.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, requires a customer focused individual with strategic agility and a lot of drive. Preferably you have a master degree in engineering and at least 5 years of commercial experience or a background from similar positions and experience.
The position will suit you who thrive in an international environment, have strong communication skills and an ability to build relationships with many different levels and cultures.
It is an advantage to have experience in Process automation-, refineries-, chemical- or the energy- industry.
You have good interpersonal skills, presentation skills and are proficient in English, both written and spoken. Swedish is a plus.
You need to have a category B driving license.
The position is located in Gothenburg, Sweden but travel (approximately 30%) and customer visits are required.
