The electrification or cars, trucks and busses is one of the most extensive and disruptive industry transformations ever. Northvolt leads this change and aims to become the leading battery partner for the European automotive industry and set new benchmarks for sustainability and CO2 footprint.
As Business Development Manager you get the opportunity to drive this transformation at leading automotive companies, suppliers and start-ups in Europe. You are responsible to generate business opportunities, drive customer dialogues and closing deals with different kind of customers within the automotive segment.
We believe you have a solid background in both business development or project management in the automotive industry, maybe at a Tier 1 supplier or an OEM. You are skilled at selling complex technical solutions and have a track record of successfully managing both engineering projects and business relationships.
You bring technical interest and understanding as well as business talent. As a person you are structured, love to execute plans and meet ambitious targets.
You will be part of the Automotive team and work closely with both our Project, Operations and R&D teams to sell and deliver superior products and solutions to our customers. The role reports to our Director Automotive Business.
You will be based in Stockholm, Sweden and occasionally travel to your customers in Europe.

Skills & Requirements
We believe that you have :
MSc engineering
2-4 years of experience from complex sales and/or project management, preferably from the Automotive industry
Strong communication skills and being able to address everyone from working level specialists to C-level executives
Knowledge of battery industry is desirable
Start-up and growth company experience is a major advantage

Specific Skills/Abilities
Excellent English written and oral communication skills in both technical and business environments
Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently
Ability to work in a high profile and often high pressure multi-cultural environment
Thrive working within tight deadlines and being excellent at prioritization and time management
Have plenty of grit, a can-do attitude, an entrepreneurial spirit, a great eye for quality, a sense of humour and a curious mind
Is friendly, passionate & purpose driven
