Business Development Manager

Our mission is to help our customers source sustainable materials for a better future. We have been in production for over a century, a testament to our strategic thinking and robust corporate strategy. We have retained a sense of the small and local, yet with a global focus. From the idyllic Swedish countryside, we produce exceptional quality paper board and ship it all over the world. 

Our customers produce luxury consumer goods (example: wines & spirits) and value fibre-based alternatives to single-use plastic in the areas of packaging (example: food) and visual communications (example: signs & displays).

About the role

As a result of three years of continuous growth and in light of major recent investments in additional production capacity, Oppboga is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to add competence and resource to the organization as well as ensure we can continue to capitalize on the favorable market conditions and fulfil our ambitious growth aspirations. 

Some of your responsibilities would be:

Analyse market trends to identify new business opportunities (example: single-use plastic replacement opportunities) to shape the future sales & marketing strategy of the company
To understand the needs of customers and end-users in order to develop new products and applications
Build an industry network and establish strategic partnerships.
Back-sell Oppboga’s products to end users and key decision makers
Support the sales process with technical advice/guidance in selected market segments
Environmental monitoring
Selected marketing projects
Identify product development opportunities for higher-price innovation within laminated boards


One of the many advantages of working in smaller company such as Oppboga is that, in a short time, you will develop skills in a lot of different areas, and you will then have the opportunity to shape your own role depending on your personal skills and what the market needs.

You will have the opportunity to travel within Europe to meet key decision makers and develop new business. When not travelling, the role will be located at the production site in Fellingsbro.

Our candidate

We believe you have a couple of years relevant experience from the print, packaging, paper or design industry.

You are technically minded and love to connect with people and create opportunities for new business. We believe that you have experience of working at a smaller company and the diverse workload that comes with it. Previous experience or an interest in marketing is positive.

To thrive in the role, we believe you are a good team player who takes their own initiative to reach Oppboga’s goals and objectives. You enjoy working in a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same. You will be an important player that connects Oppboga’s production capabilities with the emerging market opportunities that exist / are waiting to be found.

As we are an international company that sells products globally, you must be fluent in English.
