The category Digital has 1200 suppliers delivering business critical services to support the management and development of Inter IKEA in the fields of
Cloud, Networks and Data centres
Digital Consulting and digital transformation services
Application development and maintenance services
Software and Platforms
End user services and devices
IT Hardware

The movement to digital solutions will accelerate with increased usage of AI, ML and solutions around data management. It’s a complex area to navigate within and managing the terms & conditions as well as commercials with partners when it comes to SaaS/Software as a Service. The move to cloud will be priority.
Digital services include new development of applications/solutions/services, enhancements of the same and consulting. We need to (re)consolidate our supplier’s footprint, doing this in parallel while harmonizing the services and the SLAs as well as define and drive productivity and efficiency models to be implemented.
The sites we supply, as well as our supplier base, have an international scope with the point of gravity in Europe and India. The category area as well as the category is in a transformation. THE ASSIGNMENT
As a Business Development Manager you get to work with both - business and people. And what better way? Business is done through people!
You will actively contribute to the development of long-term Category Business Plans. The objective is to deliver excellent results in purchasing by team-leading and establishing long-term business development relations with suppliers. Additionally, a significant part of your assignment is to inspire and empower your co-workers. In more detail the assignment consists of:
People agenda
The art of dealing with people - empathy and good communication skills, when dealing with stakeholders as well as leading business through your team
Lead the competence agenda, including recruitment, development, performance management, retention and succession plans for co-workers in your team
Motivate, inspire, mentor and coach your team.
Securing the preconditions for your team to succeed in the business environment

Business agenda
Set the business direction with clear action plan(s) to improve and develop business and supplier performance and deliver to the Category Business Plan
Develop and transform suppliers within the digital area through the business development team
Lead and support the organization in transitioning to output and outcome based commercial models
Establish and manage cost budget for the team, optimally utilizing resources to secure business goals and ensure organizational efficiency
Managing and optimizing the procurement of software, platforms, and related licenses.
Developing segment strategies, negotiating with suppliers, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, and managing supplier relationships to achieve cost savings and enhance value for Inter IKEA.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we see that you:
Have a strong track record in leadership and business development. You lead by example and can bring out the best in your team and different stakeholders.
Have an excellent working knowledge in License Management, Software, Platforms
In Depth knowledge of major software publishers such as Microsoft, SAP, Oracle, IBM and their product offerings
Understand partnerships with suppliers in digital era
Lead on an operational, as well as, strategic/tactical level always keeping the holistic view in mind and “ WE is bigger than ME “ approach
Have high energy to build trust and partnerships to reach common goals and are on a constant look out for synergies and knowledge transfer
Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Be fluent in English, both in written and spoken, and comfortable in presenting and engaging with stakeholders at all levels
