Background
The Energy Division is in a transformation to clean energy with many new business opportunities and need to strengthen our team. Alfa Laval is active in the entire hydrogen value chain, from production to utilization in industry, power generation, and transportation – where our heat transfer technologies are core components in solutions ranging from green hydrogen production, re-fuelling stations to fuel cells and Power-to-X solutions, including both methanol and ammonia production. Alfa Laval’s proprietary technologies and heat transfer expertise, in combination with its global manufacturing capabilities, are essential to enable the acceleration of a hydrogen economy through energy efficient and scalable solutions, driving costs down and improving competitiveness.
The position is a temporary 1-year assignment for a maternity leave, with good possibilities for continued employment. You will be reporting to the Head of CleanTechnologies and VP Energy Division. The CleanTech Business Development Manager can be based in Lund (Sweden) or in Copenhagen (Denmark).
Key responsibilities
As the CleanTech Business Development Manager for Hydrogen you will lead our business development for Hydrogen on a division level, working closely with Hydrogen business development managers in our Business Units as well as Sales Companies. Your main focus will be to:
Lead and consolidate market outlooks, market studies, product positioning and assess the business potentials in the hydrogen value chain
Build external industry networks as well as engage in external events such as conferences and exhibitions
Compile external and internal communication material Represent Alfa Laval in external partnerships and industry associations related to hydrogen
Track the hydrogen project and sales pipeline for the Division
Lead and coordinate internal business reviews for the central organization and sales companies, to ensure business development priorities and identify gaps
Be part of the internal CleanTech business development network together with all business development areas in the Division.
Who you are
To thrive in the role, you are passionate about sustainability and to make a difference through technology. As a person you are positive, customer driven with a target-oriented mindset as well as a solution-oriented team player. You are experienced in business development and preferably come from the hydrogen industry or have profound insights and experience in the area of clean energy. You have a holistic understanding of the business landscape and like to identify the deeper industry and customer needs in order to understand the business drivers and develop the “right” opportunities. You are comfortable interacting and building business relations on many levels, including executive, as well as being a team player comfortable working cross organization and cultures in a truly international environment. Further, you are organised and structured, keeping several tasks in parallel and successfully follow through without losing track.
What you know
We believe you are a seasoned business development professional with the capability to work in the unknown and communicate in a clear and structured way. You are a positive team player, self-going and comfortable in dealing with many stakeholders internally and externally on different levels in an international business environment. You have experience from a matrix organization and understand how to manage the customer journey also with indirect responsibilities.
You have a graduate in engineering, business or similar. Besides working experience, we believe that you are passionate about sustainability and like to constantly grow your experience. Excellent communication skills, fluent in written and spoken English is a requirement.
