In order to make this possible are we now looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to strengthen our Network & Fleet team even further. In this role you will report to our Head of Network & Fleet.
Our Network & Fleet team is responsible to develop and optimize our fleet of vessels, manage our total system of routes and ports, and find new business opportunities. We are here to maximize fleet and capacity utilization, to secure an optimal mix of vessels in the fleet, and to develop the service network in line with the company strategy.
What will you do?
As Business Development Manager within Network and Fleet you are crucial in order for us to continue to develop and optimize Stena Line’s total system of routes, drive necessary change and projects to fulfill the Network & Fleet strategy and support Group Management in delivering on our company strategy.
• Conduct pre-studies and build business cases on behalf of Network & Fleet or in cooperation with the regional trade management teams to understand the best fleet utilization and create forward thinking scenarios within or outside present business areas
• Prepare business cases and advice on decisions to be taken by the Management Board and the Board of Directors
• Be involved in growing our business offerings and be active in mergers and acquisition projects
• Develop the Stena Line Tonnage Plan and optimize vessel allocation
• Perform and support in ad hoc analysis and projects initiated by Group Management and assist in Group Management and Board material
• Monitor market and competitor analysis and vessel related development
Who are you?
We’re looking for someone with a hands-on approach, who likes to working close to people and have a lot of energy. Your high integrity and professionalism gives you credibility and you build strong, long-lasting relationships. You know a business opportunity when you see it and you also have a strong business acumen and are motivated by creating strong results.
The must-haves:
• A university degree in Shipping, Logistics, Business, Finance or equivalent
• Shipping background, preferably from RoRo and RoPax related field (operations/sea going/commercial)
• Experience in commercial decision making
• Experience from project management and financial calculations
