The Parts Logistics IT team is now looking for a senior Java developer to join this exciting journey!
You will be in the centre of our journey to bring business critical functionality to a new cloud based solution; driving the transformation to a modern digital ecosystem, working closely with Parts
Logistics business. The Scania IT team is closely integrated with the Global Scania IT organisation.

The Challenge
In your role as a senior developer, you will be part of an awesome team taking responsibility for developing our platform for global and retail parts planning. You are the point of contact for the
software engineers and support them on a daily basis with the development of suitable solutions. You have an in-dept understanding of our technical solution and give accurate technical advice to
your colleagues. You will both work on maintenance as creating new functionalities. You value qualitive deliveries and are willing to support in testing dialogues.
You will have a key role bridging between the business needs and IT implementation as well as tightly cooperating with solution architects to support you in your role. Together with solution architects you will create a strategic view and direction. You will have the possibility to steer the role towards a lead developer role or more of a solution expert.
Your Talents
We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague with at least a bachelor degree in computer science and minimum +3 years relevant work experience. You have experience in working with agile methodologies. You are familiar to standardized deployment and release processes including version handling. You can easily connect with other people and you are an expert in understanding a problem and seeing what is needed to solve it. You speak and write fluent English.
Furthermore we have following technical demands on the role:
• You will have experience developing with Java 8 or above (we are using Java 8 and planning for an upgrade)
• TDD (Test driven development).
• Clean code practice, High code quality, Peer programming, Design patterns
• Springboot framework for writing Restful APIs and SOAP APIs
• Angular and Typescript, Nodejs
• Working knowledge on Linux environment, git, CI/CD flow
• Integration experience preferably using API, Kafka
• Basic Server knowledge skills, & Relational Database skills
• Experience Cloud AWS knowledge and Big Data experience is a bonus
