The global Sandvik Materials Technology (SMT) IT organization, called BIO Office, has the mandate and responsibility to coordinate and control IT demands within SMT globally. BIO Office in Sandviken is looking for a communicative Information Architect to develop, maintain and implement a common data model in support of our journey towards application consolidation in our fragmented IT landscape. Key performance areas
As Information Architect you are responsible for how information is described and managed within SMT globally, focusing on the use and integration of common structured data.

Your main responsibilities include:
- Promoting, developing and maintaining common meta information; i.e. terminologies, information landscapes and information models, in a structure the business can understand and easily use
- Defining, improving and streamlining measurements, processes and tools regarding data flows and data quality, to improve data accuracy, accessibility and value
- Collaborating with process developers and business subject matter experts in describing, communicating and improving the flow of information through the business
- Increasing awareness and communicating the value of common, managed and shared information within SMT
- Supporting information owners and stewards with practices for information asset and requirements management
- Acting as system owner for SMT Master data solutions, coordinating demands and implementation roadmaps
- Collaborating with solution architects to review commercial software for its fit with the information landscape

You report to the manager of the IT Business Support department, which has responsibility for working with IT demands on IT Standard Services, IT Risk & Information Security and Architecture.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, and the ability and willingness to work in a global environment and adapt to rapidly changing conditions. You are convinced of the vital importance of managing the value of information in a modern enterprise. Experience in translating business strategy, requirements and rules into concrete data models is an advantage, as is experience in process and data modeling, data governance, analysis, and system architecture. Knowledge of standards and methods like TOGAF and ISA-95 would also be to your advantage. Excellent communication skills and fluency in Swedish and English, both in writing and in speaking, are a prerequisite.

As a person you are service minded, show a great sense of customer focus and have good analytical and planning skills. You have experience in workshop facilitation and can plan and prioritize own work.
