About Us
Epiroc is a vital part of a sustainable society and a global productivity partner for mining and infrastructure customers. Innovation and smart solutions are crucial, not only for the future of our industry, but for the future of our planet too. At Technology & Innovation Division (TIN), we fully embrace technology and new ideas. We are dedicated to providing internal digitalization opportunities, strategic platforms, and engineering competencies that will drive efficiency and long-term competitiveness.
We are now seeking a Business Information Architect to establish, full-fill and maintain our data and information strategy. The role belongs to our Data & Process Foundation Office, a new Organization within TIN, with the mission to support and scale new demands in the product development data and information stream.
Your mission
Your mission as a Business Information Architect is to develop and manage product information architecture in line with divisional strategies. You will collaborate with councils and divisions to understand their information needs and translate them into business information architecture.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Understand what requirements we have on data and applications
* Visualize current data and application landscape and clarify future demands
* Establish and maintain business information and related KPIs for present and future product information.
* Ensure that business information is managed in a structured and consistent way across the organization.
* Design the structure for how business information is stored, managed, and used within the company, including information models and metadata standards.
* Create policies and processes to ensure that business information is accurate, reliable, and available for decision-making.
* Evaluate and recommend new product information architecture technologies and tools.
* Support Epiroc’s journey towards digital transformation by aligning the information architecture with new digital initiatives and strategies.
Previous experience in product development is important in this role. Your understanding of stages of product development—from concept and design to prototyping, testing, and launch, will help you in designing data flows and repositories that support each stage of the process.
Your profile
As an ideal candidate, you have a Master's degree in an Engineering field and good understanding of end to end product development. Experience in data architecture and strategy is an advantage. You possess exceptional communication and collaboration skills, are adept at finding effective ways to cooperate with various divisions while being proactive in reaching out to the organization.
Experience at Epiroc is advantageous, but we also welcome fresh perspectives and new ideas to elevate our data strategy to new heights. You demonstrate active listening, analytical thinking, and a growth mindset, coupled with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and project management tools.
Fluency in English is a must, enabling clear communication and seamless collaboration across teams and stakeholders. If you're ready to drive innovation and lead our data strategy forward, we encourage you to apply.
Location and travel
This position is located in Örebro, Sweden. Occasional travel is required. If a candidate from different country applies and is successful, local Swedish terms and conditions will apply.
A hybrid workplace
