At Tetra Pak we commit to making food safe and available, everywhere; and we protect what's good – protecting food, protecting people, and protecting the planet. By doing so we touch millions of people's lives every day. And we need people like you to make it happen.
Job Summary
Are you a person that gets inspired by exploring data? Are you a person that can inspire people to consider courses of actions they didn't know they should think about? Are you a person that thrives in collaboration with people? Well, we want you!
As our new Business Intelligence Analyst you join our Data & Analytics team supporting Tetra Pak global Procurement organization. Our bread and butter are to serve the Supplier management categories with accessible, useful and actionable data to help them reduce cost, secure supply, optimize quality, ensure compliance and not the least to drive sustainability improvements within our globally spread supplier base.
The position is permanent and is preferably based in Modena (Italy) or Lund (Sweden).
What you will do
As Business Intelligence Analyst, you will have daily interaction with colleagues in a truly multi-cultural Supplier management organisation and will manage daily problem-solving to effectively and efficiently support current and future business challenges. In a business intelligence landscape where you’ll be working with several modern BI tools such Power BI, SAP BusinessObjects and KNIME etc, you will have lots of opportunities to take initiative and to suggest new ideas to deliver value.
You will focus on:
Defining the data needed to be analyzed to drive the correct decisions and actions.
Driving standardization and automation of data collection, consolidation, and analysis.
Participate in IT development of analytics related improvements.
Provides support to end-users within the Supplier Management community.
What a day can look like:
You connect either from the Tetra Pak office or from home and you dive into one of the team’s prioritized activities to figure out how to best solve a request to create insight on one of the category’s current challenges. You have a remote meeting with the Category manager to discuss what their challenge looks like and what they would like to be able to do differently. Knowing your data, you get an idea how to help, so when disconnecting from the meeting you go straight to the work to look for patterns, conclusions and insights. During the work you come to think of recent learning experience that you would like to try out on how to use the tools even better. So, you try it and either it proves to be more effective than earlier, or it doesn’t. Most important thing is that you tried, and you learned!
After a quick bouncing session with a team colleague, you have some suggestions on how to solve the problem, so you connect with the Category manager again to demo the solution. If the solution is confirmed to be effective, the solution is planned to be industrialized in a report so that both this Category manager and other Category managers can benefit from the intelligence continuously.
After a lunch break including a visit to the gym you and a team colleague continue your investigation to find out how raw material forecasts from external data provider can be used to alert Category managers about future price drop and hence to prepare for the upcoming negotiation. Due to your swiftness to pick up business questions and translate them to data-based answers, you are a frequently used resource to prepare and to directly participate in the negotiation to swing discussions in our favor using facts.
We believe you have
We believe you are a person who specializes in exploring and collecting data, preparing it for analysis and developing of visualizations that transform the data into understandable, actionable, and inspirational insights and enable our stakeholders to make fact-based decisions. A person who uses data to tell the story of what’s happening in the business today and in future. You have customer’s best in mind when you take initiatives, and you have a solid intuition for both the big picture and for the details that count. You enjoy speed in all of the above and rather tries and fail, than wait for the perfect moment. Furthermore, you have an excellent analytical mind, strong problem-solving skills, and a desire to explore new techniques and tools to do things smarter and better.
University degree in Data/Information Science, Economics, Business administration, Engineering.
Experience with SAP HANA Studio, KNIME or similar data preparation tools.
