Job Description
How do we best source energy for fossil-free electricity sales?
Providing our customers with fossil-free electricity at competitive prices means we need to understand their needs and the market and be able to handle the attached risks. The Commodities Intelligence department is currently looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join us on our journey.
As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will belong to the Commodities Intelligence department which is responsible for the Financial Risk Management, Power Pricing and development of our BI-tools for our Sales segments. The team work with all customers and segments in the Nordic countries and you will have colleagues in both Sweden and Finland. Besides your team colleagues, you will work closely with Portfolio managers, Business control, Vattenfall IT and lots of other people.
Your main responsibility as a Business Intelligence Analyst is to develop and take responsibility for the teams data tables and BI tools, which are crucial for our financial risk management, business analysis and reporting.
The main focus of this position is to build, develop and secure quality in new or existing Power BI reports. You will work with the reports from start to finish, from ordering raw data from the Source systems to publishing a user-friendly power BI report that meets the stakeholder's demand for follow-up, risk management, analysis and decision-making.
To be able to apply the correct business logic in the data transformation, it is important to have or gain a deep understanding of the electricity market and electricity Sales business. It is also important to be able to work in a cross-functional environment where stakeholders has different requirements and needs.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we believe that you have the following:
University degree in engineering, finance, mathematics or other similar field of education
Experience of SQL- programming, preferably Azure / Databricks
Experience of data modelling and data management
Good command of written and spoken English
It´ll be beneficial if you also have:
Experience working in the electricity market
Experience working in sales and marketing settings
Experience from Power BI
Additional programming knowledge, preferably Python.
API management
Experience in financial derivatives
Experience working in a scrum team and have related skill set
Good command of written and spoken Swedish
As a person you have an analytical mindset and the ability to quickly assess and understand relations between involved systems and tools. You´re customer-focused and business-minded, as well as a good team player with good communication skills.
