Job Description
The Retail BI & Analytics team is a team gathering data competencies within the newly formed Retail unit including Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Product Data Analysts and Business Intelligence Analysts. The role of Business Intelligence Analyst within Retail BI & Analytics team works closely together other teams within Retail, driving front-end Business Intelligence reporting projects as well as working together with the data teams at Business Tech for back-end requirements.
As a Business Intelligence Analyst at Retail you will be transforming and visualizing large amounts of data for hundreds of users in a complex data environment using the Microsoft Power BI platform. If you love building things, solving technical problems and learning quickly, you will feel right at home. But this is more than a technical role. To succeed you will need to take initiative, manage your own projects, communicate clearly with many stakeholders, and strive to truly understand our business. If you want this combination of high expectations on both technical and non-technical skills this role is for you.
In the role you:
Build and maintain reports, data models and BI solutions that take Retail’s analytical capabilities to the next level
Work with a wide range of stakeholders within Global Retail as well as Expansion teams globally to understand their analytical needs and make sure our reports have a strong business impact
Share your technical knowledge and contribute to the H&M BI and data community
Work with Business Tech teams to establish a data environment that fully supports the front-end needs

Have an academic degree in business or engineering
Have a genuine interest in creating business value out of data
Are self-driven, pragmatic, structured and thorough in your deliveries
Are experienced in working with large data sets and complex problems
Are a team player and enjoy sharing your knowledge with colleagues
Are eager to learn and actively follow the latest developments in BI tech, and have the drive to realize its potential

As well as have technical skills in:
Report creation in Microsoft Power BI (or similar) including data modelling and transformation
Data visualization and data storytelling
SQL
Skills in related Microsoft Power Platform tools, such as Power Apps and Power Automate is also meriting
