COGNOS-BI is the main Business Intelligence tool suite of Electrolux Group. It gathers local and global information, structures and cleans it and finally stores data in a data-warehouse and multidimensional cubes. It provides a simple user-interface for complex data analysis and reporting with Web portal technique and detailed security settings. You will belong to "Business Intelligence Competence Center" (BICC), which is a part of "Business Support Center of Excellence". BICC is in charge of BI projects, BI architecture and BI solutions and therefore of the whole application life-cycle. One of the major BI solutions is "Centaur". It is a central BI system to provide a European view of Integrated Result across the sector, i.e. for all European sales companies of Electrolux Major Appliances Europe. Integrated Result is calculated on a country bases and can be presented and analyzed on different aggregation levels. We are looking for an experienced and proactive BI application engineer, who is committed to deliver high quality work, has a good level of business knowledge and understands main business processes like SOP, Finance or Demand Flow, can analyze business requirements, plan and prepare implementation, organize and execute development tasks and deliver the solutions to production. The candidate will also be responsible for support tasks on production environment together with a small team of BI experts. Some overtime work is expected as well as occasional international business travels. You will further develop and support BI solutions like Centaur: Liaise with business owners to analyze their requirements, be involved in conceptual design, implementation and testing as well as hand-over to production Implement and support batch processes, multi-dimensional cubes and relational models as well as complex user reports and analysis Take care of complex ETL process and SQL procedures, which transfer, load and cleanse data as well as allocate costs and calculate profit & loss for the business Take care of ongoing application monitoring regarding performance and stableness, solve potential problems and optimise the routines Improve level of automation and take care of technical quality assurance and documentation Liaise with IT Operations organization in order to solve potential problems, define and analyze new technical requirements and software releases and do the ongoing capacity planning Organize and implement support tasks for end-users and key-users Fulfill the defined IT processes like Problem Management, System Development Lifecycle, Change Management etc.
