Your role 

As an BI architect, your main responsibility is the End to End flow from source to report. This includes technology but also way of working in this flow. You would also be part of shaping our Data landscape in general, and Scania’s transition into a Data Mesh in particular. To succeed, collaboration and communication is key. You would cooperate closely with our two main stakeholders; our developers and our users, but also with a wider architect community. You are expected to be able to communicate on virtually all levels of the company, from C-level management to juniors. Furthermore, understanding Scania’s overall strategy and translating that to BI strategy with a holistic long-term perspective would be key.  

 

You use your curiosity and an open mind to find new trends – regarding data architecture, technology as well as way of working - and bring that knowledge into our global organization to further develop our abilities to utilize the power of software and data. As an architect, you are expected to drive change within your area and proactively initiate actions needed.

 

Your profile 

 

You have a strong background in architectural work within global organizations, with an agile mindset and hands-on approach to develop and drive architectural work. 

You have the ability to translate complicated technical discussions into business language and vice versa. 

You thrive in a global, complex, and everchanging environment - where you build trust and drive change through continuous dialogue. 

 

You also have:


It is an advantage if you have previous experience from:


• 10+ years of experience working as BI Architect.


• 5+ years of experience with deep understanding of Data Warehousing, known Data Warehousing patterns, Analytics and Business Intelligence
• 3+ years of experience working with reporting tool PowerBI (both on-premise and cloud) and also SSAS and SSRS


• 1+ years of experience with cloud architecture design for end to end BI use cases
• AWS knowledge
• Knowledge of DevOps and designing CI/CD pipelines


• Strong communication and documentation skills

It is an advantage if you have previous knowledge on:


• data mesh concepts
