Business Intelligence Functional Manager

Global Business Services is a function within Sandvik IT Global Shared Service responsible for delivery and supply of Global Business Systems to the Sandvik business. We are now looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Functional Manager for Global Business Services, with flexible location.

Key performance areas
As Functional Manager you lead the function's execution in order to meet targets and are responsible for objectives and strategies for the team. You are also a representative in the Business Service Management team and other forums where it is relevant to represent the function.

Your main responsibilities include:
- BI Delivery, BI Program and BI Project Management competence guidance
- Definition and follow-up of objectives and strategies for the function
- Leading the management team for the function
- Financial responsibility for the function: budgeting and follow-up of financial result
- Staff management, including allocating resources within the function, supporting the employees' long-term competence development and managing outsourced delivery management

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, IT or a similar area, as well as experience from managing IT delivery to business. You have good knowledge in strategies, methods and tools for designing and delivering corporate solutions in the area of BI. To be well suited for this role you need to have well-developed leadership skills, combined with strong IT operational experience. You must also communicate well in English, both in writing and in speaking. Experience from global IT delivery is an advantage.

As a person you have a strong customer focus, are result oriented, and know how to build strong and effective, global teams. You are perceptive and have the ability to create a trusting environment for collaboration, as well as to inspire and motivate your co-workers to create team spirit and enthusiasm in order to reach the business' goals. You are also interested in developing both the business and your co-workers and have the ability to implement changes.
