Business Intelligence Specialist

We are looking for a technically oriented BI Specialist to join our EMEA Analytics product team.

EMEA is one of three stand-alone regions within Volvo Cars. As operational unit, we are responsible for overseeing all commercial activities in over 60 countries and thus ultimately for region and market performance within market earnings and sales targets. We have a clear focus on our customers and sustainable growth. We build our management on trust and team spirit and encourage an entrepreneurial spirit. The vision of the EMEA Analytics product team is to deliver a state-of-the-art platform and common sets of reports for business reporting and analytics to the EMEA Region and EMEA Markets. To deliver towards our vision we work very closely with teams in the BI, Data Management and Data Platform areas as well as with key business stakeholders across the region. We are a small and highly skilled DevOps team taking end-to-end responsibility for the product across the entire lifecycle.

We are now looking for a technically oriented BI Specialist who is enthusiastic about empowering data driven decision making. You are curious by nature and have a strong interest in exploring new technologies and solutions to provide the best possible end user experience. 

What You’ll Do
•    Contribute to the development and operations of the EMEA Analytics technical platform
•    Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
•    Collaborate with technical teams and product owners to measure, report and take action
•    Support the solution of business problems by exploring trends and patterns in data and transform it into actionable insights 
•    Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions

Your Skills
•    3+ years of relevant work experience in analytics and business intelligence
•    Expertise in the Microsoft Azure BI Toolchain
•    Demonstrated strength in SQL, data modelling, ETL development, and data warehousing
•    Ability to effectively communicate and influence both business and technical teams
•    Experience gathering business requirements, using industry standard business intelligence tools to extract data, formulate metrics and build reports
•    Experience with Snowflake Data Cloud is meritorious
•    Experience with the Automotive industry is meritorious
•    Be comfortable with ambiguity and eager to learn new skills
