As Business Leader you will be responsible for leading one of the Home Furnishing Businesses (HFBs) at IoS, in every dimension of the business - from the idea, through range and product development, manufacturing and distribution, all the way to the homes of our customers - worldwide. The overall plan for growth, profitability and positioning is your framework and your focus will be on the continuous development of the business, its daily performance and results.

Your assignment will be to improve and implement a mid and long term business strategy together with functional managers and key stakeholders. This means formulating clearly defined goals including profit and loss, based on the strategies. You will lead the development of the action plans with well-defined activities, in order to reach the goals and define the resources needed.

You will be in the driver?s seat when it comes to execution of actions based on the strategy, including follow up and adjustments. It will be your responsibility to secure that the business is moving forward and that everybody is heading towards the same goal. Therefore it is important for a Business Leader to be driven by the desire to develop business through people.

You will be part of the Management Team for the Business Area and you will report to the Business Area manager.

Furthermore, you need to have a strong interest in supplying and product development. In order for you to be successful in the job as Business Leader you also need to have;

- Proven record of passionate and strong senior leadership ? developing, inspiring, leading, coaching and influencing other senior leaders and specialists
- Proven record of successful business development and performance over time - business planning, setting and implementing action plans, providing clear direction and following up as well as consistently meeting agreed budgets and goals
- Strong communicative skills and great passion in leading, inspiring and empowering co-workers as well as other stakeholders, in a complex and fast paced organisation
- Strong networking capabilities inside and outside of IKEA and the ability to engage a variety of receivers by creating a passion for our business and action plans
- Proven ability to prioritise and organise your own work as well as the work of others in order to make the most efficient use of time available
