Business-minded Product Owner within Cyber Security

As digital disruption sweeps through the manufacturing industry, we continue on our forward-thinking journey to always stay two steps ahead when new technology evolves. Right now, we’re now looking for a Product Owner for our Cybersecurity and Technology team within Sandvik IT. Someone with a tactical mindset and smart, agile ways of working. You’re driven by business needs, focus on long term relations and you got what it takes to build successful arenas for great collaboration. Yes, you’re really that people person who thrives when interacting with team members, stakeholders and customers.


When it comes to your background we think that a relevant degree – perhaps within IT, Business or Finance – could come in handy, but we’d rather hire you for your soft skills and your customer centric, can-do attitude. Sure, you need some experience from product leadership and you’re trained in agile product management methods. Another plus is of course knowledge of the cybersecurity area and how to manage IT applications in a manufacturing industry.


So, let’s talk about the job
You’re one of our key players in ensuring that Sandvik Group has cutting edge cybersecurity products, and you always keep an eye out for any new trends in this field to maintain our momentum as we build our digital defense. The main products included in your scope are:


· Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
· Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP)
· Vulnerability Management (VUMA)
· Microsoft Security Suite (MS Security)


You drive the life cycle development and success for all of them by interacting with the business and truly understanding their needs and requirements. Together with other product owners, development teams and technical architects you then coordinate the insights into applicable IT tools. In all of this, you work closely with our suppliers to ensure a roadmap of their products that are developed in line with Sandvik's strategic goals. Naturally you also connect with our product management and senior business stakeholders to create products that fit our company portfolio and bring maximum customer satisfaction. Your outlook is both strategic and commercial and you have an inspiring way of communicating, challenging the status quo and creating engagement.


You’ll have flexible working conditions, but for this job, your base is in either Kista (Stockholm) or Sandviken. Some travel could be included, as your colleagues and our partners are spread across different locations.
