Business Navigation Manager

As Business Navigation Manager, you and your team work every day together with the category teams and decision makers to come to better decisions, identify new opportunities and initiate actions that will make PLANTAGEN grow and our customers happy. Your tools are data, facts and figures, to which you add insights and recommendations; you will be leading performance management. This requires passion for and ability to spot business opportunities behind data, an analytical and business drive mind-set and strong communication skills.

The stores are the reason for our existence and therefore the main task for all co-workers in Range&Supply Chain is to serve and suport our stores. With our Multi Channell approach and the full launch of our E-commerce platform any Digital experience and/or competence within E-commerce is a plus. This role is a part of the R&SC management team and you report to Range&Supply Manager.
 
Main tasks and areas of responsibility:
Be a key player in the R&SC organization and responsible for supporting the other SC managers and their teams to drive business performance, to come to better decisions, identify new opportunities, and initiate actions. 
Together with the category managers and sourcing teams based in different countries and regions explore business opportunities and have simple, efficient, effective and appropiate processes in place and continuously work with the development of tools and methods.
Lead the performance management of the categories; a continuous process of setting objectives, assessing progress and deviations and providing on-going coaching and feedback to ensure that all categories are meeting their objectives and goals.

·      Leading and developing the business navigation department
·      Performance management of the product range within all Business Areas through analysing and creating insights across the value chain from supplier to customer, identifying opportunities and improvement areas and actively sharing these
·      Influencing and enabling fact based decision making through quickly generating insights based on consumer, market and business information
·      Together with the teams, identifying opportunities and risks through scenario planning, modelling, risk assessments and contingency planning
·      Leading and coordinating different processes, i.e. range dimensioning, internal pricing and sales and supply planning across the Business areas
·      In charge of all product calculations including being a key player in the currency hedging process
·      Responsible for the purchase budget process and follow up for the Range and Supply Chain department and its companies
·      Responsible for budgeting and forecasting all R&SC units and involvement in Group budgeting for Vendor allowance and inventory accounts
·      Responsible for reporting and analyzing all R&SC units (P&L and BS) with comments and proactive actions on the deviations that occur. Follow up these actions in the organization to ensure the best possible EBIT result for Plantagen Group
·      Support IT with input and demands regarding our Business Intelligence systems

Important requirements and characteristics:
·      Experience from leading and coaching others
Team oriented and with high integrity
Focused on control and quality and with attention to detail
·      An academic degree within finance, business administration, economics or similar
·      At least five years’ experience as a Business Controller Manager, Business Intelligence Manager or similar, preferably within the retail industry
