Arbetsbeskrivning
The automotive industry is changing rapidly and so are the demands and expectations among consumers. Volvo Cars has taken a strategic decision to lead this change. This means not only continuing to build state-of-the-art premium cars, but to rethink the entire consumer experience and creating competitive offers showing that we put our consumers’ needs in the center.
Global Online Business is a new function within Volvo that is spearheading this change across the entire organization. We bring our customers value by developing, implementing and operating these new offers, more aligned with today’s customer expectations. Care by Volvo is a great example of this, being implemented in multiple markets globally.
What we offer
The role as a Business operation training lead is an increasingly fundamental part of the success of Global Online Busines (GOB). With the rapid development and expansion of the Care by Volvo offer, securing the right pre-requisites and training to GOB’s operational teams and partners becomes more important every day. We believe it is a core foundation for reaching the ambitious targets on customer satisfaction and operational efficiency we have set. The Business operation training lead is a newly established role and the right candidate will have excellent opportunities to shape it and truly make an impact in delivering value to our customers and partners. Located in HQ Gothenburg.
What you’ll do
You will have the overall lead for defining and establishing the framework for training delivery to GOB’s operational teams and partners. The current setup is time-consuming and does not fully deliver value all the way out to the operational teams and retailer partners. We want to move to a more flexible and accessible competence development model, starting with the target audience in focus.
The framework must be defined together with surrounding teams within business and digital. In addition to establishing the framework, you will work closely with the Fleet Product & Process Owners, Finance Operations as well as teams within Sales to identify planned changes/releases in the operational processes and consumer offer and translate the needs to tangible and transparent training plans. You will report to the Head of Global Online Business Operations but also work together with the Sales Training Lead and other training specialists within the organization.
You will also have the overall responsibility for ensuring training plans are delivered to all impacted operational teams through scheduling, coordination, and execution as well as follow-up of training effectiveness.
More specifically, the work includes:
* Identify, develop, and implement the required infrastructure, technology needs, training methodologies, and processes for training delivery to GOB’s operational teams and partners.
* Define and develop standards for training tools such as manuals and handbooks.
* Partner with internal stakeholders regarding training needs and training methodologies.
* Plan, organize, coordinate and secure delivery of trainings to GOB’s operational teams.
* Design and deploy assessment tools to measure training effectiveness to support and drive continuous improvements.
* Track and maintain training outcomes.
* Support and coach local training resources.
You and your skills
To succeed in this role, we believe that you have analytical skills combined with a structured approach which gives you the ability to translate processes and system information into easy-to-understand communications and training. Your previous experience includes:
* A training or competence development role, in a business environment.
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of education methodologies, learning principles, and training techniques.
* Handling projects or processes with multiple stakeholders.
You need to be fluent in English and have a high interest in understanding the area you are working within deeply, both from a business and digital point of view. If you have General GOB process and system knowledge and/or project management experience it’s considered an advantage.
Who are you?
To be successful in this role we believe you thrive in a constantly moving environment and you can create structure and provide clear guidance to a wide range of cross-functional stakeholders. You need to be comfortable, flexible, and successful in environments with changing priorities and ambiguity. We believe you adapt to an agile way of working and always keep the user experience as your top priority.
You also possess strong communication- and interpersonal skills and are comfortable speaking in larger gatherings and take the lead for training-related topics out in the organization. In addition to that, we believe you have the ability to explain complex matters in an easy and understandable way and are described as someone who combines a strategic mindset with the ability to “roll up your sleeves” and get things done.
