About this exciting opportunity
We are looking for a new team member in our Processes and Tools team within Ericsson’s IPR & Licensing department. The role is central for the operations of IPR & Licensing with focus on the configuration of our Intellectual Property Management System (IPMS) i.e. our patent database. In this role, it's crucial to understand our business and its requirements, and be able to link between the business and IT. Another important part of the job is to drive projects and activities related to improving our ways of working.
There are many ways the tasks of this role can be completed and the opportunities to form a way suitable for the successful candidate are many. Also, there will be possibilities to further develop and widen the scope of the role.
About you
You will thrive and be productive if you are aware of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and have some insight in how patents can be used. Understanding how IT tools support complex operations together with a good general sense of order is necessary, as is programming skills on a basic level and experience from working with databases.
The role includes driving projects and such leadership is something you bring and enjoy.
In many cases, there’s a need to discuss different approaches to issues we deal with in the Processes and Tools team together with other Ericsson employees and functions, or with external suppliers, to find the best way forward. Hence, negotiation skills in combination with open and collaborative manners are qualities of yours.
What you will do
Business Operations Support
Work on improving support and collaboration with dedicated support teams.
Execute routines and standard tasks (periodic reporting, access approval etc.)
Special activities: larger imports of record data, exports, data quality updates etc.
IPMS Configuration
Specify & clarify business requirements
Implementation
Test & Verification of changes
Regular User Acceptance Tests (UAT) at major releases
Identify improvements & efficiency opportunities
Report Management & Development
Database reports and SQL Code Review Management
Setup Visual Reporting and Dashboard tools
Create and maintain documentation of routines & activities
Driver for tools and improvement related projects
You will bring
M.Sc in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics or alike
Experience from Enterprise IT tools and databases
Project Management and Leadership skills
Basic programming and SQL skills
Determined and eager to learn the necessary skills on the job
Curiosity about people; communicative
A good sense for security and compliance matters
Desired qualifications
Basic knowledge of Intellectual Property Rights and Patents
Experience from IPR management tools
Having worked with IT functions in an international company
