This role sits in the Solution Partners and Analytics team, whose role is to empower, support and accelerate our business area hubs and drive our aim to have enterprise data and analytics products that make it easy to work with trusted data at Volvo Cars.
What you’ll do
You’ll be a great partner to other Volvo Cars business units and local data teams, ensuring they are building their operations based on access to high quality and trusted data from across Volvo Cars. You’ll work across a few areas of Volvo Cars, prioritising the organisation’s strategic products. You’ll work with your Solution Partner colleagues to adopt and lead a cross-business function data product development process, to plan and prioritise investment and change.
This role requires strategy development, a commercial and consultative mindset, and a love for the details. We focus on understanding the strategies and requirements of each business function (and Volvo Cars as a whole) and then advising and supporting them, and their data teams, in how to share, access and leverage data to conceive, design, test and then use analytical data products (such as BI and AI) to deliver clear business value. You’ll enable and accelerate the delivery of value to business areas by identifying opportunities to leverage a central pool of technical, data and product expertise.
You’ll be ready to jump in when something needs to be done and you’ll thrive when faced with knotty problems that take a lot of collaboration to solve.
What you’ll bring
You are an experienced (8+ years) leader with experience influencing other leaders and managing cross-functional teams. You also have a deep understanding of how to build and run data and analytics products, with a documented history of success. Your bread and butter are collaborating with Business, Data and Engineering peers both within and outside of different domains to drive data product strategy at scale, with great communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences. You are experienced with cross-functional leadership to the degree that you can plan and collaborate with members of a leadership team that includes multiple roles and backgrounds.
You have broad technical breadth across the full data and analytics lifecycle. You have got a strong intuition based on a broad range of experiences, but you take a critical mind even to your own ideas and are ready to be challenged by colleagues of all levels You are motivated by a desire for quality but take a pragmatic approach to achieving your goals.
