Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Scania, as a part of the TRATON group, is working in close cooperation with our partner brands to find synergies where we utilize each brand’s unique competencies to create the best possible business opportunities supporting Scania’s overall strategy driving the shift towards a sustainable transport system.
Cross Brand Operations (XKS) have the main responsibility to examine and evaluate Scania’s commercial opportunities and risks in business setups with other brands within the TRATON group and with its existing and future alliance partners. Our assignment involves setting up frame agreements and contracts as well as ensuring that Scania as a company is prepared to handle the business when it is up and running in production. This work is done cross-functionally and in close cooperation with the product development projects that are often closely connected to the different business scopes. After the start of production, Cross Brand Operations have the responsibility to manage and follow up the business relationship connected to the respective contract.
New cooperation areas such as eMobility and Autonomous are accelerated resulting in assignments for Cross Brand Operations, and we now see the need to extend the team with one additional team member. As Business & Process Support you will belong to a team consisting of seven employees with a wide range of competencies and experiences from different parts of Scania and the automotive industry.
The role
Business & Process Support is a new role within Cross Brand Operations, and you will be a key player in the team ensuring that the Business Managers and the Controller gets support in their operational work. Since you will work close to your Business Manager colleagues you will also take part in strategic and commercial discussions to safeguard the interests and profitability of Scania and the TRATON group.
The assignment and role description is not yet completely defined and you will together with your colleagues have the possibility to influence and form the role. With an open mind and great ambition, you will have great opportunities to establish a solid ground for your future career path. Your primary task will however be to support the Business Managers and Controller with tasks such as:
• data collection from different functions within Scania (production, logistics, R&D, purchasing, etc)
• analyses and validation of data
• preparing and creating presentation and decision material
• being the receiver of request for quotations
• preparing quotations and invoices
• participate in negotiations
• acting as coordinator for various operational tasks
• taking an active role in developing and maintaining the associated processes
Your profile
This is an ideal position if you see yourself as business-minded and have an interest in combining technical, commercial, and financial aspects into one context. Cross Brand Operations’ assignment is performed in close collaboration with a large number of functions within Scania and TRATON and it is therefore important that you are communicative and feel comfortable working with a large network. You should be fluent in English both in speaking and writing.
You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or economics and preferably at least three years of work experience as a buyer, sales support, business controller or similar. Previous experience and good knowledge about Scania are considered meritorious.
