The FX Business Product Owner (BPO) is the owner of the FX product strategy and responsible for the definition of the target portfolio of products. Liaising closely with key stakeholders for input regarding distribution strategy, client segmentation, customer needs, offerings, and market conditions. The BPO is also expected to provide support to distribution in product related issues.
The BPO is responsible for maintaining the target portfolio of products at agreed service level and monitoring and following up on product performance at Swedbank group level. The BPO has the overall accountability for the end-to-end process of the product lifecycle i.e., capturing business requirements, ensuring functional requirements related to regulations, IT-solutions etc. This includes identifying and managing the decommission of end of life-cycle products and responsibility for the definition and maintenance of processes directly related to the product.The BPO is also responsible for ensuring that the product strategy translates into a clear product roadmap.
Working closely together with the Agile Product Owners (APOs) to ensure correct prioritization in development activities and to follow up on value realization. Monitoring external development applicable for the FX product area, the BPO is expected to be a subject matter expert within the FX area and to collaborate with Sales, Trading and the development organization to ensure a customer centric and competitive product offering
What is needed in this role:
- At least 5 years’ experience within the FX area, preferable from business-oriented roles in sales or trading, with great interest and insight in the FX products end-to-end
- Deep understanding of operational risks and the regulations related to the FX product.
- Strategic mindset with focus on customer experience, digital solutions, and effective risk management.
- Experience of functional leadership with the ability to inspire and lead by example.
- A good understanding of corporate customers needs and international payments in general.
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in a related field is an advantage.
