Arbetsbeskrivning

Being a leading supplier of equipment, tools, services, support and technical solutions for the mining and construction industry requires commitment. At Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions, we are in the forefront of automatization, electrification and digitalization and we aim to provide our customers in every corner of the world with the best possible experience. Welcome to take part in transforming the global mining and construction industries!
For our Strategy and M&A team, we’re now looking for a Business Strategist to join us in an exciting environment with highly varying tasks and stakeholders all over the world. Joining us, you become part of a competent and supportive team with a genuine team spirit. Do you share our approach? Please keep reading!
Your mission
As our next Business Strategist, you facilitate the divisions and sales areas' regular strategy updates, bring structure, insights, improvements, and functional expertise to this process. You drive ad-hoc strategy projects with stakeholders across our organization and proactively engage with our business to identify opportunities or gaps where improved strategic clarity would create value. In addition to the strategical projects, your agenda includes preparing and delivering regular key industry and performance insight reports to achieve impacts and improvements. And as an advocate for strategic pricing, you engage our Business Line Manager and Key Customer Managers to support decision-making on large and mission-critical deals.
This position is based in Stockholm and travel is a natural part of the job. At Sandvik, we encourage work-life balance, so the travel volume depends on the candidates' opportunities and demands.
Your character
We’re looking for someone with an extensive background in a similar role within finance and or strategy, most likely from the consulting side – and even more beneficially, within the manufacturing industry. Depending on the experience you’ve gained, we consider approximately 2-4 years in the business as a minimum. Regardless of your work history, you’ve built yourself a good Strategy and M&A toolbox that you use independently. You hold a relevant university degree, such as Business, Economics, or Finance, while a master’s degree is beneficial. Having an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of financial analysis, you’re also experienced working with cross-functional global teams. Our corporate language is English, so both verbal and written fluency is a must.
Your soft skills are as crucial as your hard skills, and as a true team player, you genuinely understand the importance of collaboration. Professionally acting around a board-level audience and our other important stakeholders, you use your communication skills to shape the storyline and message in a way that’s easy for your stakeholders to catch. In addition, you’ve developed a solid self-leadership, meaning you take responsibility and ownership of your actions and duties, and you’re not afraid to dig into some operational work whenever needed.
You thrive when learning new things, embracing initiatives, and challenging yourself to grow every day. And while demonstrating strong adaptability skills, you see obstacles as challenges – exclusively focusing on solutions rather than problems. While translating strategies to facilitate processes and priorities, you truly challenge us to think one step ahead, always with consistency and quality in mind!
