What you’ll do
You will lead the R&I BU for Sweden, being responsible for all sales and marketing activities, driving commercial performance and managing the P&L. At times, there could be dedicated responsibility for a product on a Nordic level incl. P&L ownership.
You will support the Sweden CP by preparing and leading the Swedish LT meetings and other specific Swedish BBU matters.
Leveraging global strategies, you will develop localized strategies & plans, which are anchored on customer insights, and ensure effective execution across the country including implementation of omnichannel programs.
You will utilise a deep understanding of the TA ecosystems, patient journeys, customer needs and payer needs to shape the environment, deliver success across the portfolio and maximise new growth opportunities. As well as ensuring flawless execution of the sales team and ensure appropriate KPI tracking.
Other responsibilities include:
Providing expert insight and direction across the portfolio to ensure that all launches and line extensions are expertly managed to deliver success.
Inspiring the team to develop and utilise patient and customer insights challenging and innovating within their own roles and the wider AZ environment to ensure that AZ delivers innovative medications to patients.
Building and maintaining strong external relationships with healthcare professionals, payors and patient groups.
Developing capabilities in the team and building a robust succession pipeline
Being a member of the local leadership team

Essential for the role


Robust pharmaceutical experience in TA including in-market experience of marketing and sales management roles
Previous experience of P&L management for a TA
Proven success in launching products into competitive environments
Excellent leadership capabilities in leading and developing teams including succession planning
Strong track record of leading and developing cross-functional teams
International or regional experience. Proven ability interacting with and influencing regional and global internal stakeholders
Good understanding of Account Planning and Customer Engagement program and processes
High performer and results oriented
Good knowledge in market ethical rules
Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent, e.g. in Marketing
Ambition and motivation for future leadership roles

Desirable for the role


Previous experience in other functional areas of the business such as Commercial Operations, Medical or Market Access
Good understanding of local country healthcare systems including pricing and reimbursement
Previous experience in other Therapeutic areas
Both Specialty care and Primary Care experience
Omnichannel experience
