BUSINESS UNIT MANAGER FOR TECH DATA’S COMPONENTS AND WHITEBOX SOLUTIONS BUSINESS UNIT
Tech Data is looking for an experienced Business Unit Manager (BUM) to lead our Nordic GCC (Global Computing Components) business unit. GCC works with selling volume consumer and enterprise grade components to various segments and channels, design and build specialized computing and infrastructure solutions and work with industry-leading software and hardware vendors that enable our partners to bring validated, specialized and integrated solutions to market quickly and efficiently. The GCC business unit has experienced tremendous growth over the last years, and there is a strong plan in place for continued growth. The role
As GCC BUM you will have full ownership of the development and execution of the Business Unit strategy, value proposition and go-to-market. You will focus on delivering profitable growth against key KPIs and driving towards higher market share position. You will lead, develop, and improve the capabilities of the business unit from an internal and external perspective through building, developing, retaining, and engaging a winning team. You will play an important role and be responsible for planning and orchestrating all necessary go to market activities with multiple disciplines such as sales, marketing, vendor relations as well as having the full Nordic P&L responsibility for the business unit. In addition, you will be part of the EMEA management team and will as such play an important role in GCC on various levels.
You will be reporting directly to the EMEA Senior Vice President for GCC with a dotted line to the country manager, and you will be leading a team of highly skilled BDMs across the four Nordic countries.


About you
It is important that you have high decision making abilities, have strong persuasion and influence skills as well having solid skills in verbal and written communication, also in in English. You have a good mix of strategic, tactical, analytical and sales skills coupled with high business and commercial acumen. You also need to have high level of empathy, good interpersonal skills as well being an accomplished achiever. Experience
In order to be successful in this role, and in order to continue the growth journey, we believe that your profile should be aligned with the bullets below. However, we acknowledge that success can take many forms, so please apply even if you don’t tick all the boxes:
Experience with components and server storage solutions – preferably within whitebox solutions
Good market and customer knowledge in the Nordic countries
Excellent leadership skills and knows how to lead and develop a winning team
Experienced in owning, managing and optimizing P&L
Enable and help the sales teams to win and grow share of wallet and market share
Can build relationship and engagement with key vendors and stakeholders and drive overall vendor management, planning and execution
Marketing development strategy with the Marketing Director and agree and initiate marketing programs
Managing the vendor and product portfolio of the BU including new vendor identification and business development initiatives in order to optimize results.
Experience in managing complex organizations and many stakeholders
