BU Water Sweden consists of a dedicated team of approximately 110 specialists who provide customers with high-quality services for technology, technical advice and management consulting in water supply, sewage treatment, stormwater management and waterways and flood management. With our expertise, we help customers all over the country - in all industries, municipalities and municipal companies, authorities as well as companies and industries. At AFRY, you will also be part of an international network of water consultants who all drive to create the solutions of the future!
In the role of Business Unit Sweden, you will work future-oriented to strategically develop the national operations, organization and profitability and continue to make the value of AFRY's offering visible. You are motivated by actively contributing to the development of the business area, both operationally and strategically together with four directly reporting regional managers and four support functions. Your responsibility must be personal and financial. The Business Unit is spread across the country with employees working at offices from Luleå in north to Malmö in the south. You will lead, plan, and develop the Business Unit and you are fully responsible for the Business Units’ targets.
You are part of the business area's management team and report to the BA manager who is based in Finland. Choice of location is flexible within the country.
Qualifications
First and foremost, you are open minded, communicative and have the will to cooperate and succeed with your team. At AFRY, good leadership is a brave leader who dares to challenge conventional methods and motivates the team to perform their very best.
You have a strong academic background and have at least 10 years of experience from the industry and have worked within the water sector. You know the water engineering and consulting markets in Sweden and you have a wide network of water sector specialists across the country.
You both enjoy and are used to meeting customers at all levels and have experience from the consulting business. Your focus is on good profitability and growth and you know how to grow a business and further develop an already well-known brand in both a local as well as a national market.
You are a natural leader and role model, who seems to engage and lead your team to perform at their best. It is important to us that you have experience of leading through other managers. You believe that it is important to listen to your co-workers and that you as a leader are responsible for taking care of and enabling your team and team members to evolve.
In corporation with customers, partners, and colleagues you naturally create trust and respect around your person. Your working style is structured and analytical and you have documented results. You are expected to be able to express yourself fluently in both Swedish and English.
