Our Exciting Opportunity
Within Ericsson the Business Area Technology & New Business (BTEB) IoT is driving new business in the fast-growing area of Internet of Things (IoT). We are offering platform services for connectivity, Device & Data management (Ericsson’s IoT Accelerator), connected vehicles, monetization and security threat analytics and remediations. Our IoT platform is supporting more than 5000 enterprises globally across 100+ countries through our Communication Service Provider (CSP) partners. The nature of the business is redefined by as-a-Service business models, translating enterprise and customer needs to scalable solutions and handle the rapid change as the market and our offerings evolve continuously. The Go to Market (G2M) teams is part of the Customer Success unit within the Global Sales IoT.
As an important part of our Ericsson IoT Accelerator Customer Success initiative, we are looking for a Business Value Consultant in proposition pricing and packaging to our G2M team.
The role as Business Value Consultant focuses on actively engaging and supporting Ericsson's CSP partners in building competitive and attractive offerings and in the pricing of their IoT proposition towards enterprise customers. The role does this through understanding of factors like value, competitive offerings, costs, technology and market evolution etc.
The role functions as a consultant, sharing the best methodologies and clarifying pricing options available for CSP’s in our IoTA SaaS solution.
We offer a role in which you can grow and take initiative to accelerate the Ericsson IoT business. You will work in a distributed team in which we value knowledge sharing, collaboration and last, but not least - we have fun!
You will
Support CSP partners in the pricing and packaging of IoT propositions towards our enterprise customers.
Advise CSP partners on how IoT solutions can be packaged with Value Adding Services offered by the CSP to build end-to-end solutions for Enterprise customers.
Build best-practice materials on pricing and packaging towards our enterprise customers and spread these through the eco-system CSP partners.
Help to find solutions withing the IoT organization in case of complicated pricing and packaging needs by CSP partners.
Educate CSP’s how new and innovative pricing and packaging options can add value for the CSP and enterprise customers.
Pinpoint CSP knowledge gaps on pricing and packaging and build material which fill these knowledge gaps through workshops and training programs.
Educate internal teams on takeaways from customer engagements.
Report to the Head of IoT Go to Market support.
To be successful in the role you must have
Functioned as a subject matter authority on IoT proposition pricing and packaging within the G2M team and the wider Customer Success team.
A knack for commercial education to become the trusted partner for CSP partners.
Understanding of the CSP demands and translate them into materials to educate.
We believe that the ideal candidate has a desire for our Customers’ Success and can mentor CSP’s in a successful pricing strategy. Highly important is the strive to work with the internal Ericsson teams for the best interest of our customer as well as a flexibility to be able to make do with the task at hand.
Since the role engages with middle and senior management of our customers you need to adapt the style of your communication appropriately to the audience/receivers.
Key Qualifications:
Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in Bid management and/or commercial roles focused proposition pricing & packaging. Preferably in the telecommunications or IT industry.
Thorough understanding of channel business and how pricing & packaging can support channel partners.
Experience and/or understanding of customer success programs in a B2B environment.
Experience in deciding pricing strategies and tactics in tender processes.
Experience in cloud business and subscription-based business model creation.
Experience and background in consultancy role or from a consultancy organization is a plus.
Good understanding of telecom networks and especially IoT.
Ability to travel globally (up to 50%) if needed.
